Giving Back to Communities
As an Australian medical professional, Dr Dawes-Higgs has travelled as a volunteer to The Cook Islands where she worked as a doctor, and also to Nepal where she built a house for a widow and her family. During her visits she has cared for children and local residents, many of which did not have a regular doctor, and learning how isolated some communities are.
Cook Islands
Dr. Elizabeth Dawes-Higgs travelled to The Cook Islands as a volunteer doctor. While her specialty area is dermatology, Dr. Dawes-Higgs has a passion for the entire medical field and a passion for helping others.
Nepal
Taking a break from Dermatology, Dr Liz Dawes-Higgs travelled to Nepal to help build a home for a woman who was recently widowed.
