A New Skin Remodelling Treatment
There’s a new kid on the block!
What is all the hype about?
A new exciting product is now available in Australia but what is all the hype all about?
This new injectable is hyaluronic acid in a soft liquid form that is placed into the dermis of the skin - just where it is most needed. It helps to stimulate collagen production in the skin. There are 5 places that the hyaluronic acid is placed on each side of the face so that it can spread in a smooth fashion creating an even look.
This product is aiming to give you a healthier fresher looking skin with a radiant glow. This of it like a nourishing treatment for our skin cells.
It is fast and effective and best of all has minimal risks.
What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that is in the deeper layers of our skin. It is able to bind up to 1000 times its own weight so is considered to be a ‘hydrator’ of the skin. This new product contains hyaluronic acid, and in fact is one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid currently available. Injected into the skin, this product aims to replace our depleting supplies of naturally occurring hyaluronic acid.
How many Treatments Do I Need?
You need 2 treatments a month apart and then every 6 months for a top up.
Will I look ‘done’?
No! You definitely won’t look like you’ve had something done or look abnormal. This is not a filler but rather a smooth liquid version of hyaluronic acid to give your skin a fresh more health look.
Are there any risks?
The risks of this treatment are rare and are mainly around the injection site bruising or redness. A publication looking at 40,000 treatments found that there were only 12 adverse events with most of them to do with bruising, redness or swelling at the injection sites. There were 2 reports of delayed bumps happening and these resolved with treatment.
